Services for Visually Impaired
JSDCL has a special bilingual software program and auto-focus video magnifier system designed to enhance the library experience for our members who are visually impaired or those who require magnification for detailed work. Images are provided in color, black-and-white, or enhanced high-contrast positive or negative viewing modes. Members with low vision can easily read books, magazines and newspapers while at the library.
The video magnifier unit is located in the computer lab. The unit was made available through a donation made by the Industries of the Blind in conjunction with Banco Popular.
